Recreation Division Highlights Page 2 of 4 Revised 11.2021 <br />Goebel Adult Community Center <br />Ventura County Flu & COVID-19 Vaccine Event <br />On Wednesday, November 3, the Goebel Adult Community Center hosted the Ventura County Department of Public Health’s Flu & COVID-19 Vaccine Event from 1:00–6:00pm. All three COVID- <br />19 vaccines and boosters were available at no cost to those eligible, in addition to two flu shots. A combined total of 423 shots were administered during the five-hour window. <br />Special Events <br />Halloween Breakfast <br />On Thursday, October 28, a total of 45 seniors joined us for a fun and spooooooky breakfast on <br />the back patio. Pancakes, eggs, desserts and more were served and fun was had by all! <br />Veteran’s Day Breakfast <br />Serving those who have served us! <br />On Thursday, November 11, veterans and their families were invited to join us for a FREE pancake <br />breakfast. <br />Entertainment Live! – The British Beat Band <br />On Sunday, November 21, join us at 3:00pm for an afternoon of Rock Music from its early years. Formed in 2007, the British Beat Band’s intention was to provide a nostalgic look at the groups <br />that represented the British Invasion. Today, the band includes tributes to Rod Steward, The Beatles, and Eric Clapton. Tickets available now! <br /> Hillcrest Center for the Arts <br />A Christmas Carol <br />Young Artist Ensemble’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL <br />opened to delighted audience on November 5 and closes November 21! Performances are held Fridays <br />and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm in the Theatre on the Hill at the <br />Hillcrest Center for the Arts.
