In developing this <br />new class specification, information included in the draft class specification prepared by the <br />District was utilized. For purposes of determining the appropriate salary, this new classification <br />was evaluated relative to other classifications at the District. The following presents an overview <br />and analysis of this new classification and the resulting recommendation. A copy of the class <br />specification developed as part of our analysis will be forwarded under separate cover. <br />Overview of Request and Analysis <br />Conejo Recreation and Park District is creating a new Information Technology Assistant <br />position/classification within the Management Services Division in order to provide support <br />within the Information Technology Department including assisting employees with issues and <br />questions, asset tracking, resource coordination, and creating training materials. Specifically, this <br />position will: <br />• Assist end users with information technology related questions and issues. <br />• Respond to inquiries and requests and provide assistance for District systems and <br />programs including systems at remote sites; coordinates activities by users and <br />information technology staff to resolve inquiries. <br />• Track and maintain information technology assets, check equipment in and out as needed, <br />and maintain inventory. <br />• Assist in developing training materials and guides for information technology <br />applications. <br />• Maintain work, time and material records and preventive maintenance schedules. <br />• Install hardware, software and peripheral equipment; updates help desk software as <br />necessary. <br />• Support District computer labs, ensuring computers are up to date and in good working <br />condition.
