NEW ITEMS <br />A. Contract with RRM Design Group in the amount of $60,000 for Phase 1 <br />(General Plan Update Coordination) and Phase 2 (Draft Master Plan <br />Services) <br />Hare reported the District has requested RRM to help with CRPD's Master Plan <br />Update, including coordinating with the City of Thousand Oaks as they work on <br />updating their General Plan, which the City has been in process for about two <br />years. CRPD's Master Plan serves as the recreation element of the City's <br />General Plan. District staff desires to work in unison with the City and to provide <br />appropriate comments for the City's General Plan. Lance Wierschem from RRM <br />was made available via Zoom for questions. Hare noted that RRM has worked <br />for the District in the past and demonstrated competence and familiarity with the <br />District and the City. If future phases are necessary, staff will come to the Board <br />for direction. Hare and Wierschem answered Board member's questions. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to Authorize <br />General Manager to enter into a contract with RRM Design Group in the <br />total amount of $60,000 for Phase 1 (General Plan Update Coordination) and <br />Phase 2 (Draft Master Plan Services). <br />B. Contract with California Skateparks in the amount of $26,800 for Phase I <br />Skatepark Design and Estimating Services for Borchard Community Park <br />Skatepark Renovation Project <br />Hare reported that since early 2019, staff has been meeting to assess <br />recreational needs at the Borchard Community Park Skatepark. A focus group <br />was formed, including various community members, and a number of group <br />meetings were held to develop some concepts and ideas for a renovated facility. <br />A concept plan has been created from these meetings. The pandemic put a hold <br />on these plans, but staff believes it is now time to move forward; therefore, staff <br />recommends entering into a contract with California Skateparks (CAS.) CAS staff <br />
