Recreation Division Highlights Page 3 of 4 Revised 06.2021
Dos Vientos Community Center
QuaranTEAM Wrap-Up
On Thursday, June 10 the Dos Vientos Community Center wrapped up its final day of QuaranTEAM Care. This program was created as a service to our community in response to the pandemic. As
school campuses were closing, our team opened our doors to accommodate families’ needs for programming and children’s needs for activity and socialization.

The Dos Vientos staff team was made up of Abby Pryor, Joe Kupferschmidt, Matt O’Neill, Hayley Skorpen, Orion Tobin, and the DVC Recreation Coordinator, Tamara Spatz-Tornero. Together they
developed and ran a 5-day-per-week program that was active, educational, and engaging. These heroes were really put to the test; as public health concerns grew, safety guidelines changed, and
available resources shifted this team was able to power through and make sure that each and every day was memorable and unique for each and every participant. The fact that most of the
participants stayed with the program for the entire 38-week span speaks volumes to the quality of programming. This is a team of heroes!
Outdoor Unit
Gearing Up for Summer Day Camp
Our amazing counselors have been training at
the Conejo Community Center for our Summer Day Camps. Their training includes learning
sports and games, creating fantastic crafts and activities, and a comprehensive coverage on all
COVID-19 safety guidelines to ensure that all campers and staff remain safe.
We are ready for an AWESOME summer!
