DISCUSSION
After the cancellation of CVD 2020 due to COVID, CVD representatives havE. made great efforts to
provide CVD 2021 for the overall community benefit. Usually taking place in May, CVD 2021 will be
conducted in July to accommodate the easing of restrictions for patrons.
With a few exceptions, the attached 2021 CVD Agreement and Permit Conditions (Exhibit 2) is
substantially similar to the previous years' agreements. Highlights from the 2021 CVD Agreement
and Permit Conditions include:
• Exclusive use of Conejo Creek Park South from Monday, July 5, 2021 to 10:00 p.m. Monday,
July 19, 20217
o As the fields are down for refurbishment, the entire event will be held in the parking lot.
• CVD payment to District of $11,775,
o $785 per day at Conejo Creek South (15 days)
• CVD shall pay the DISTRICT an additional $785 for each day, or fraction thereof, beyond
10:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021, that the premises have not beEln restored to as good
a condition as when received by CVD,
• Pre- and post -event financial reporting for participating non -profits.
Staff recommends executing the 2021 CVD Agreement as the community derives a huge benefit
from this well-run and organized event; in 2019, the event generated over $24,000 for 29 local
non -profits.
STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE
Meets 2021 Strategic Plan Goal 4.6: Build, maintain and support relationships with local
organizations engaged in activities consistent with the District's mission. (Look for collaborative
opportunities to expand services and fill unmet needs.
Respectfully submitted by,
T. P. Hare
Administrator, Parks & Planning
