Holt, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />DATE: June 17, 2021 <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Mana <br />SUBJECT: California Special Districts Association (CSDA) 2021 Board Elections <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Select and cast the District's ballot to elect a representative to the CSDA Board of Directors. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The District recently received an email (see attached) from CSDA providing a notice pertaining to the <br />election of a representative to the CSDA Board of Directors, Coastal Network, Seat A. <br />As the email states, each of CSDA's six (6) networks has three seats on the Board and the <br />candidates are either a board member or management -level employee of a member district <br />located in your Network. Each Regular Member (district) in good standing shall be entitled to vote <br />for one (1) person to represent its Network in Seat A. <br />The two candidates are: <br />*Elaine Magner, Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District <br />• Hugh Rafferty, Santa Maria Public Airport District <br />Attached hereto are the two candidate's statements.
