February 15, 2001 <br />Page 3 <br />Gibson reported that the open space proposal was passed on February 13. <br />C. Budget Performance Report — January 2001— No Comment <br />D. Executive Order D-27-01 By The Governor Of The State Of California <br />Ward reported that the Executive Order encumbering State Department of <br />Parks and Recreation appropriated funds will not impact Proposition 12 (Park <br />Bond) monies. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />No report. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton reported that total attendance at the Young Artists Ensemble <br />presentation of Little Shop of Horrors was 1,457; the Thousand Oaks Teen <br />Center held a Valentine's Day Dance for approximately 900 7t' and 8t' <br />graders; 45 teens are registered for the February 16 snowboard trip to <br />Mountain High Resort sponsored by the Teen Center; the quarterly brochure <br />will be mailed February 16 and mail -in registration begins February 20; the <br />Volunteer Recognition Brunch is scheduled for March 25 at the Clarion Palm <br />Garden Hotel; and the Conejo Substance Abuse Prevention Authority Youth <br />to Youth Conference is scheduled for February 26 at the Teen Center. <br />Berger noted the positive impact of the many Teen Center programs on area <br />middle schools. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />Jorgensen thanked Board members for their involvement and input relative to <br />the District website. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported Lynn Bickle requested that the record reflect her desire that, <br />should ERAF (Educational Revenue Augmentation Fund) monies be <br />returned to the District, a hearing would be held to determine the necessity of <br />
