Recreation Division Highlights Page 2 of 4 Revised 02.2021 <br />Therapeutic Recreation <br /> <br />Day Camps <br />The Therapeutic Recreation Unit still has three day camps running every day: Youth Camp, Teen <br />Camp, and Adult Camp. Recently, the Teen Camp had jersey day! <br />Virtual Valentines Dance <br />Registrants danced the night away with DJ Slik. Some family members joined in too! It was a lot <br />of fun to watch everyone dance to the same DJ and have an opportunity to say “Hi” to friends! <br />The next virtual dance will be April 24, sponsored by the City of Thousand Oaks Youth Commission. <br />Family Bingo and Pie Auction <br />The annual Family Bingo and Pie Auction event is back! On Sunday, March 21, from 5:00-7:00pm, <br />families will register to play Bingo from their cars with a fun St. Patrick’s Day theme! Participants <br />will wave shamrocks in the air when they get BINGO, and will also receive shamrock window clings <br />to decorate their cars! Registration will open Monday, March 9, and families will have the option <br />to register for the event only or to include dinner. <br /> <br />Goebel Adult Community Center <br />Increasing Your Social Life-Pandemic or NOT <br />On Tuesday, February 23 at 2:30pm, 19 seniors attended this fun and interactive Zoom seminar <br />presented by Annette Broersma, M.S. where ideas for safe and fun social activities were discussed. <br />Lucky Leprechaun Bingo <br />On Wednesday, March 17, seniors can come play Bingo in their cars and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day <br />drive-in style at the Goebel Center! Corned Beef, cabbage, soda bread, and more will be served. <br />Cars can contain people from the same household. Purchase your ticket at www.crpd.org/register <br />or call us at 805-381-2744 to sign up NOW! $10 per person (2 Person Max Per Car) <br />
