CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />January 21, 2021 <br />6:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />M I N U T E S <br />Nickles called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm and Smith led the flag salute. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Cusworth (via zoom), Holt, Huffer, Lange, Nickles <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare and Smith, IT Manager <br />Segedie and Executive Assistant Reynders <br />Therapeutics Unit — Serving the Community during the Pandemic <br />Devon Herbert, Supervisor, Therapeutics Recreation Unit (TR), shared how the Unit has remained <br />connected with patrons since last March, serving the community during the pandemic. Connection <br />was maintained with families through emails and social media until the summer, when camps were <br />in session, which were somewhat affected by the lack of volunteer support. A new program was <br />also launched — an Adult Social and Friends group. Herbert provided an overview of Old Meadows <br />Park, the "coolest park in town," and some of the collaborative events that happened there. She <br />shared thoughts from parents expressing their gratitude for the programs and ongoing support <br />provided by TR unit programs and staff. Hebert answered Board members questions and was <br />thanked for her informative presentation. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of January 7, 2021 Regular Board Meeting <br />B. Approval of Warrants <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $603,830.87 <br />
