CONEJO RECREA ]ON AND PARK DISTRICT <br />Reconciliation of the Governmental Funds Statement of Revenues, Expenditures and <br />Changes in Fund Balances to the Government -Wide Statement of Activities <br />For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020 <br />Net change in fund balance - total governmental funds $ 71960,662 <br />Amounts reported for governmental activities in the statement of activities <br />are different because: <br />Acquisition of capital assets was reported as expenditures in the governmental funds. However, in the <br />government -wide financial statements, the cost of those assets was capitalized and depreciated over <br />the estimated useful lives of the capital assets. The following capital assets were recorded in the <br />current period.- <br />Total <br />eriod: <br />Total additions of $2,463,772, net of dispositions of $27,775 (net, $2,846,447 less $162,654). (220,021) <br />Depreciation expense on capital assets was reported in the government -wide statement of activities, <br />but it did not require the use of current financial resources. Therefore, depreciation expense was not <br />reported as an expenditure in the governmental funds. (3,392,520) <br />Investment revenue earned from investment in joint venture - COSCA. 4,441,034 <br />Changes in claims payable expense were reported in the government -wide statement of activities, but it <br />did not require the use of current financial resources. Therefore, the increase in claims payable was not <br />reported as an expenditure in the governmental funds. (95,504) <br />Changes in long-term compensated absences were reported in the government -wide statement of <br />activities, but it did not require the use of current financial resources. Therefore, the increase in long- <br />term compensated absences was not reported as an expenditure in the governmental funds. (19,502) <br />Net other post -employment benefits obligation (OPEB) was reported in the government -wide statement <br />of activities, but it did not require the use of current financial resources. Therefore, the increase in long- <br />term net other post employment benefits obligation was not reported as an expenditure in the <br />governmental funds. 3581199 <br />Pension contributions were reported as expenditures in the governmental funds. However, the <br />government -wide statement of activities reports the cost of pension benefits earned net of employee <br />contributions as pension expense.
