The agreement has proven beneficial
for the public and both Parties desire to enter into an updated agreement for these purposes in accordance
with the terms and conditions provided.
For over 30 years CVUSD and CRPD have shared space to benefit our community while providing
programing. Staff believes this is a good time to revisit the existing agreements that are part of the ongoing
beneficial relationship between the two organizations, thus allowing for updates and improvements.
Highlights of these updates include an annual meeting of the parties between January and March to review
the agreement. The agreement will be effective until June 30, 2023, at which time the Parties may agree
to an additional three-year extension, ending on June 30.
Since both Parties are at or near capacity for facility usage, the percentage allowed for increase in time
was changed from 10% to 5%. There is also clarification regarding personnel, security, general exclusions
and fingerprinting requirements.
CRPD and CVUSD staff have worked very closely on the updated agreement and are comfortable with
their continued partnership serving our community.
STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLANCE
4.1 Enhance relationships with the City and School District
5.4 Craft clear and transparent agreements to foster public transparency and understanding
Submitted and Prepared by, .
Rochelle Callis, Administrator, Recreation and Community Services
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES
403 West Hillcrest Drive Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-4223
(805) 495-6471 1 FAX: (805) 497-3199 Email: parks@crpd.org 1 Website: www.crpd.org
