Holt, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />Date: <br />February 20, 2020 <br />Nellie Cusworth, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />To: <br />Board of Directors <br />Tex Ward <br />From: <br />Jim Friedl, General Manae�oct's <br />Subject: <br />Conejo Recreation and <br />Integrated Pest Management Plan <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Review and approve the District's Integrated Pest Management Plan. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Utilizing the District's Strategic Plan and the community's expectations as guidelines, the attached <br />Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Plan discusses multiple issues related to pest management, <br />including the District's current procedures, practices, and pest specific strategies. <br />The IPM Plan will be reviewed annually and updated as appropriate by the CRPD's Safety Committee. <br />As part of the annual review, staff will consider the latest District procedures and practices as well as <br />information from regulatory agencies in order to keep the plan current and relevant. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE <br />Meets 2020 Strategic Plan Goal 8.1 Balance environmental and economic factors and continue the <br />District's progress toward greater environmental stewardship and "sustainable" operations. <br />Meets 2020 Strategic Plan Goal 8.7 Regularly evaluate CRPD's environmental practices and strive <br />for continuous improvement toward an environmentally considerate and sustainable operation. <br />Meets 2020 Strategic Plan Goal 8.7.1 Consider public park industry best management practices and <br />methods and integrated pest management practices for park maintenance and operations including <br />environmentally friendly and economically feasible solutions to unwanted plants (weeds), insects, <br />pests. <br />Respectfully submitted by, <br />T.
