January 16, 2020 <br />Page 3 <br />Friedl reported that in 2006 the Board updated and adopted policies regarding <br />compensation for meetings and performance of other compensable official duties <br />and activities, and updated expense reimbursement policies, related to state law (AB <br />1234.) In 2018, the Governor signed AB 2329, enabling special districts to increase <br />the number of compensable meetings and activities from a maximum of five per <br />month to six per month; state law requires the District re -adopt the policy and adopt <br />the resolution annually. Nickles suggested some minor changes to the wording on <br />Item 1 of the Resolution, adding an additional comment such as "in a relationship <br />with the City of Thousand Oaks and the School District and other agencies"; it was <br />agreed that this language could be addressed when the resolution is presented for <br />adoption next year. <br />It was moved by • seconded by • and carried 4-0 • <br />Adopt Resolution 01 1620-A adopting findings and establishing a policy <br />regarding Board compensation; that it be read in title only and all further <br />readings be waived; and <br />It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Huffer, and • 4-0 • <br />2. Adopt Updated Board of Directors Policy on Compensable <br />Performance of Official Duties. <br />Friedl reported Director Nickles was instrumental in reviewing potential public <br />members for the COSCA Board; Chair Skei was recommended and has been <br />approved by the COSCA Board to continue to serve. The motion taken this evening <br />by the CRPD Board would ratify that decision.
