Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial <br />assistance under the California Disaster Assistance Act. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In May of this year, CRPD Board of Directors approved the District's application for participation in the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency Hazard Mitigation Grant Program relative to disaster, <br />DR4407 (Woolsey Fire), Section 404. This section of the program was created to provide protection to <br />undamaged parts of a facility or to prevent or reduce damages caused by future disasters. Conversely, <br />Section 406, the focus of this report, provides funding for the immediate repair of disaster -damaged <br />facilities, in declared counties. <br />As a result of the Woolsey Fire, the District sustained damage at North Ranch Neighborhood Park and <br />Peppertree Playfield. An award of approximately $696,000 will reimburse the District for costs <br />associated with fire recovery and potential future mitigation projects. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE <br />Meets 2019 Strategic Plan Goal: 3.2 Evaluate existing and seek new revenue sources to <br />enhance programming, property acquisition, park improvements and capital facility replacements. <br />R ctfully submitted by, <br />T.
