DISCUSSION
In an effort to balance the impact of the significant financial investments on youth sports
improvements to the site with the overall community benefit of CVD, and balancing resident input
with CVD requests, staff has communicated with CVD representatives to discuss the Annual
Agreement and Permit Conditions for 2020 CVD. The goal of the discussions was to provide a venue
at a reasonable fee while minimizing damage to the sports fields and down time at the site.
The attached 2020 CVD Agreement and Permit Conditions is substantially similar to the previous
year's agreements. Highlights from the 2020 CVD Agreement and Permit Conditions include:
• Exclusive use of Conejo Creek Park South from Monday, May 4, 2020 to 10:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 12, 2020,
o Majority of total weight of rides will be in parking lot.
• CVD payment to District of $14,175,
o $1,575 per day at Conejo Creek South (9 days)
• CVD shall pay the DISTRICT an additional $1,575 for each day, or fraction thereof, beyond
10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, that the premises have not been restored to as
good a condition as when received by CVD,
• Pre- and post -event financial reporting for participating non -profits.
Staff recommends executing the 2020 CVD Agreement as the community derives a huge benefit
from this well-run and organized event; last year, the event generated over $24,000 for 29 local
non -profits.
STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE
Meets 2019 Strategic Plan Goal 4.6: Build, maintain and support
organizations engaged in activities consistent with the District's mission
opportunities to expand services and fill unmet needs.
Respectfully submitted by,
T. P. Hare
Administrator, Parks & Planning
relationships with local
. Look for collaborative
