Holt, Director <br />Nellie Cusworth, Director <br />Doug Nickles, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Manar <br />SUBJECT: Authorize the Lease, Se Management of Printer Fleet <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize the General Manager to sign the Ricoh, U.S. Communities Master Lease Agreement, <br />consistent with the attached proposal, with Ricoh for the lease, service and management of the printer <br />fleet. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In 2014, the District refreshed its printer/copier'Beet" which includes copiers at miilcrest Center, most <br />community centers and maintenance facilities. That equipment is aging, and the 5 -year agreement is <br />nearing its end. After discussions with three vendors, including Konica, Canon, and Ricoh, it is <br />recommended that the District contract with Ricoh. <br />The District has used Ricoh equipment successfully in the past, and the Ricoh account management <br />team took the time to understand the District's needs and provided timely information. <br />The Ricoh contract buys out the existing lease and provides new equipment with improved capabilities <br />and service at a projected savings to the District compared to the current lease of $1,804.88/month, plus <br />per copy ("click") charges. <br />The proposed lease is for 60 months, at a cost of $1,274.09/month, plus per copy ("click") charges. <br />Staff is proposing the District acquire this equipment through US Communities, a cooperative purchasing <br />organization.
