CDGC was formed to represent
the members' collective disc golf interests and the organization provided hundreds of volunteer
hours in the planning and development of the Rabbit Flats course at Thousand Oaks Community
Park.
In September 2010, the District entered into an MOU with CDGC regarding Rabbit Flats and the
course's operations, maintenance, and use. Since that time, CDGC has provided hundreds of
volunteer hours and has been instrumental in the success of the course.
With the addition of a disc golf course at Sapwi Trail Community Park, in October 2017, the District
entered into a new MOU (attached) with CDGC which superseded the September 2010 MOU and
included both Rabbit Flats and Sapwi Disc Golf Courses.
Similarly, CDGC provided hundreds of volunteer hours in the planning and development of the
Sapwi course and continues to provide volunteer support in its success.
CDGC desires to continue to work with the District to promote the sport of disc golf, encouraging
participation locally and regionally. Additionally, CDGC desires to continue to assist the District in
the maintenance and operation of both Rabbit Flats and Sapwi disc golf courses. Therefore, it is
recommended the MOU be extended for an additional three years with Amendment #1 (attached).
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES
403 West Hillcrest Drive - Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-4223
(805) 495-6471 - FAX: (805) 497-3199 - Email: parks@crpd.org • Website: www.crpd.org
