Hillcrest Drive <br />Thousand Oaks <br />August 13, 2019 <br />7:45 PM <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Vice Chair Lange called the meeting to order at 7:48 pm and led the flag salute. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Cusworth, Holt, Huffer (via teleconference), Lange, Nickles <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl <br />Others Present: Mark Sellers, Esq., John Fisk, Esq. (via teleconference) <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />EXECUTIVE CLOSED SESSION <br />Conference with Legal Counsel — Anticipated Litigation — Government Code Section 54956.9(4)(4) <br />Number of Potential Cases: One (1) Potential Case <br />At 8:34 PM, upon conclusion of closed session, the doors were opened, open session <br />resumed. General Manager Friedl announced that the Board of Directors had voted 5-0 to <br />initiate litigation to seek recovery of damages associated with the November 2018 Woolsey Fire <br />and to enter into a retainer agreement with the law firm of Baron and Budd. <br />5.
