Holt, Director <br />Nellie Cusworth, Director <br />Doug Nickles, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />Date: May 2, 2019 <br />To: Board of Directors <br />From: Jim Friedl, General Mana <br />Subject: Amendment #2 to Me of Understanding with Concerned Off -Road <br />Bicyclists Association for Use of Bike Areas at Sapwi Trails Community Park <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to enter into Amendment #2 to Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) <br />with Concerned Off -Road Bicyclists Association (CORBA). <br />DISCUSSION <br />On June 1, 2017, the District entered into a MOU with CORBA as the primary partner to develop <br />the bicycle- and trail -related amenities at Sapwi Trails Community Park. <br />On April 19, 2018, the District amended the MOU and extended the term to May 31, 2019. <br />Since that time, the District and CORBA have worked cooperatively to plan for and provide initial <br />development of the main bike area, trail skills areas, and beginning bike area at the neighborhood <br />park location. <br />CORBA desires to continue to work with the District to promote the sport of off-road bicycling <br />activities, with participation locally and regionally.
