MISSION AND VISION STATEMENTS <br />MISSION STATEMENT <br />To enrich the quality of life for our community by preserving and enhancing recreational <br />opportunities, parks and open space. <br />STATEMENT Of PHILOSOPHY <br />The Conejo Recreation and Park District (CRPD) is a public service agency created by the people <br />through the use of a governmental entity known as a special district for the purpose of <br />providing and promot n recreation opportunities, <br />and conserving the recreational resources of the area. <br />As an arm of the government, a major responsibility of CRPD shall be to serve as a catalyst for <br />community effort by employing the tools and powers of the district, promoting inter -agency <br />cooperation, and constructing and operating facilities. <br />The district will complement other recreation efforts. The District will conduct its business in a <br />manner which provides the community with a diverse set of recreational opportunities. <br />An objective of the district shall be to provide recreation opportunities for residents of all ages, <br />abilities and economic statuses. <br />VISION STATEMENT <br />To serve our community and be recognized as a top recreation and park district in the nation <br />we must: <br />Be financially stable; <br />Be a primary source of recreation facilities, activities and services; <br />Match our programs and facilities to demographic needs; <br />Distinguish CRPD as a leading partner with other agencies and organizations for <br />recreation, park and open space needs; <br />Be an employer of choice; <br />Evaluate and leverage emerging opportunities, while maintaining our facilities and <br />infrastructure; <br />
