CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />STATEMENT OF INVESTMENT POLICY <br />1.0 POLICY <br />It is the policy of the Conejo Recreation and Park District to invest public funds in a <br />manner which will provide the highest investment return with the maximum <br />security, while meeting the daily cash flow demands of the agency and conforming <br />to all state, county, and local statutes governing the investment of public funds -- <br />safety, liquidity, and yield. (All investments made will comply with the laws set forth <br />in the 53600 series of the Government Code, State of California, as amended or <br />hereafter amended.) <br />2.0 SCOPE <br />This investment policy applies to all financial assets of the Conejo Recreation and <br />Park District. These funds are accounted for in the Conejo Recreation and Park <br />District's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and include: <br />2.1 Funds <br />2.1.1 General Fund <br />2.1.2 Debt Service Funds <br />2.1.3 Capital Project Funds <br />2.1.4 Trust and Agency Funds <br />2.1.5 Fiduciary Funds <br />2.1.6 Any new funds unless specifically exempted. <br />3.0 PRUDENCY- Civil Code #2261 <br />Investments shall be made with judgment and care -- under circumstances then <br />prevailing --which persons of prudence, discretion, and intelligence exercise in the <br />management of their own affairs, not for speculation but for investment, <br />considering the probable safety of their capital as well as the probable income to <br />be derived. <br />3.1 The standard of prudence to be used by investment officials shall be the <br />"prudent person" standard and shall be applied in the context of managing <br />
