(FS) in the not -to -exceed
amount of $200,000 annually for drought response irrigation improvements and turf conversion
services at various park facilities.
In July 2016, the District executed Amendment #1 to the contract with FS increasing the not -to -
exceed amount for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 to $600,000 in order to timely complete and receive
rebate funds from the Metropolitan Water District.
In order to continue to move forward with projects for the current year, staff recommends the
current Fiscal Year not -to -exceed amount be increased to $250,000 for FS. Specifically, the
increase will permit drought response and irrigation improvements at the main house at McCrea,
including the installation of a new main line for domestic and irrigation service, irrigation
renovations, and drought -tolerant planting, to be completed within the next several months. Thus,
the water conservation work will be completed prior to higher demand months (Spring/Summer),
while correcting aged infrastructure that has been susceptible to failure, providing more efficient
and usable domestic and irrigation systems for staff to maintain and operate.
Funds are available in the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Parks and Planning Division budget.
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES
403 West Hillcrest Drive - Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-4223
(805) 495-6471 • FAX: (805) 497-3199 - Email: parks@crpd.org - Website: www.crpd.org
