The Wellness Fest is on Wednesday, January 16th rom 9:00 am to 1:00 at the <br />Goebel Adult Community Center. There is an upcoming Matinee and Tour at McCrea <br />Ranch on Saturday January 19th. Safe Passage participants will be going on a field trip <br />to the Discovery Cube on January 21st. Callis attended the “Polar Bear Plunge” recently; <br />it was very successful, sold out event. The new program guide has a different look and <br />feel due to the paper used; this change resulted in a significant savings to the District. <br />C. General Manager’s Report <br /> <br /> Friedl reported he attended, via conference call, a California Association of Park and <br />Recreation Indemnity (CAPRI) special meeting today; Rick Richards has resigned and Pat <br />Cabulugan, CAPRI’s former Director, has agreed to work part-time to assist the organization <br />until they are fully staffed again. CRPD received a letter from the Grand Jury; Board <br />members will be copied on the response. Friedl reminded Board members of the upcoming <br />Board/Staff retreat on Saturday, January 26th; location TBD. <br /> <br />E.
