Information about the incident is on tv and social media.
The Teen Center is serving as a family support center and will be closed for normal
activity. The GACC is also involved in supporting grieving families and friends and will also be
closed to the general public today.
As of now, The TO Library and Conejo Creek North Park will remain open.
This is so very tragic and painful. Please support each other and the community you work with.
Jay, Brenda, Rochelle and Tom have been involved since the early morning hours and have
been so helpful to city officials, sheriff, police, fire, American Red Cross, — and most
importantly the grieving families and friends of those affected by this terrible violent act.
Please don't hesitate to contact our new EAP provider or Shelly in Human Resources for some
emotional support. I know I will be calling them later@.
Love each other.
Jim
From: Shelly Howell ashowell@crpd.org>
Sent: Thursday, November 8, 2018 8:29 AM
Subject: RE: Message from Jim - Shooting at Borderline
CRPD Staff,
Please know that our Employee Assistance Program is available 24-7 and has opened a toll-
free crisis line to provide free counseling and referral services to residents as a result of this
event - 800-327-7451 (see attached).
You may also call our program's toll-free number to speak with a professional: 800-523-5668
Let me know if you need anything, and please take care.
Shelly Howell
Human Resources Supervisor
Conejo Recreation & Park District
403 W Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360
Phone: 805-495-6471 1 Fax: 805-497-3199
Exhibit 2 - Borderline Page 1
