Corresponding Secretary <br />Fiorita reported that she attended Senior Festival meetings and the event, <br />Orientation for Newcomers, and the Program Committee. <br />Fiorita asked if a vote should be taken on a memorial plaque for Hal <br />Fredricks, past commissioner, and identified recent plaque honorees. Boscia <br />said that many commissioners do not know former members, and frequently, <br />more information about a candidate is needed before an informed decision <br />can be made. Courant suggested that a committee be appointed to <br />investigate the issue of memorial plaque nominations, and make a <br />recommendation to the Commission. Hogg said that it was his understanding <br />that all commissioners, past and present, are entitled to a memorial plaque. <br />Doane announced that staff would ensure research is conducted to <br />determine policy or historic precedent. <br />E. Treasurer <br />Courant reported that the balance, as of April 28, was $19,067.06; and, as of <br />May 19, receipts were $14,780.46, as of May 22, May disbursements are <br />$13,718.02, and the balance is $20,129.50. <br />Concluding, Courant said that starting in July, format changes would be <br />made in the report. <br />F_ Budget and Finance <br />No report. <br />G. Building and Grounds <br />Schrock stated that repairs are currently underway for the air conditioning <br />and heating system, and it is hoped that the repairs will eliminate temperature <br />variances. He said that due to abuses, a 20 minute time limit for parking will <br />be posted in the driveway outside of Utilipay, external disabled access <br />upgrades are scheduled to begin in August and internal upgrades after <br />January 1, 2001. He noted that rose bushes have been planted, leak repairs <br />9 <br />
