Holt, Director <br />TO: <br />Board of Directors <br />FROM: <br />Dr. Lizzie Benton, Administrator, Recreation <br />and Community Services <br />DATE: <br />July 6, 2000 <br />SUBJECT: City of Westlake Village Year Round Recreation Programs <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the General Manager to approve recreation staff to negotiate a contract with <br />the City of Westlake Village to provide year round programs beginning Fall, 2000. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City of Westlake Village has requested a proposal from Conejo Recreation and Park <br />District to offer recreation activities for its citizens during the Fall, Winter and Spring <br />program seasons. The classes would be for tots, youth and adults/seniors. <br />The programs would be conducted at Bennett Park and the City Hall Community Room. <br />Dennis Gass, Supervisor at Borchard Community Center, would be in charge of <br />developing and implementing the programs. <br />The type of programs would be parent/child classes, tot sport classes, craft classes and <br />self improvement, dance and bridge classes for adults and seniors.
