Parks Division Report <br />Hare gave an update on the work being done at Sapwi Trails Community Park; traffic <br />lights are being installed at Kensington and the community is getting excited for the <br />Park's upcoming opening. Work at Springmeadow Park is progressing well; the <br />permeable asphalt walkway is proving very popular. Field irrigation work at <br />Thousand Oaks Community Park has commenced. Also scheduled to begin in the <br />next month or so are some fitness equipment improvements at Borchard Community <br />Park and Thousand Oaks Community Park. He reminded Board members of the <br />Photo Oppportunity at Fiore Fields this Saturday, June 23 at 10:00 am. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis reported summer is off to a great start. The "Touch -a -Truck" event last week <br />had a great turnout and the weather was perfect. There are lots of July 41" activities <br />planned, the Newbury Park Pool should be open by then. The upcoming Beach Boys <br />tribute band performance at Goebel Adult Community Center on June 24th is sold <br />out. Callis encourages everyone to see the YAE performance of "in the Heights." <br />She reported that she will be doing some program observations in July. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported on his participation in Trail Work Days; approximately 80 volunteers <br />attended. He referenced the City of Thousand Oaks' "Pop Up Festivals" occurring <br />this summer and encouraged all to attend. <br />E.
