On February 4, 2016, the Board of Directors approved an amendment to the benefits portion of the
agreement by increasing the District's contribution to the General Manager's 457 deferred compensation plan.
The general manager employment agreement along with the 2016 amendment, as well as a benefits summary
table and salary schedule are all maintained on the District's website on the Human Resources page at:
hftp://www.crpd.o[g/about us/human resourcesldefauIt. asp
The attached proposed amendment, dated January 4, 2018, adjusts the General Manager's annual salary by
5% beginning in January 2018. This is comparable to the 2.5% 12.5% adjustments provided to other
ConejoRPD employees for FY 2017128 and 2018119 assuming no further adjustments are made to GM
compensation prior to July 2109. This would bring GM's annual base salary to $213,470 beginning in January
2018.
For general reference, attached is a table of comparable or nearby cities and special districts which lists total
compensation for position of City Manager, Asst. City Manager and General Manager. This data was pulled
from the California State Controllers webpage "Government Compensation in California"
(http:llpublicpay.ca.gov) and is a summary 2016 compensation. Over the years, when considering
compensation, the Board has taken into consideration a variety of factors including assistant city manager
compensation from comparable or nearby communities since the ConejoRPD General Manager position
involves more duties and responsibilities than a park director.
STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE
5.0 Organization.
