DISCUSSION Traditionally, at this time of year, the Board conducts its annual organizational meeting. Board appointments and assignments are reviewed by the Board annually at a CRPD Board meeting (typically during or soon after the annual reorganization meeting), although the majority of the Board may amend the appointment and assignments at any time. Under the category "Fixed term Appointments" CRPD has Directors on the Conejo Open Space and Conservation Agency (COSCA) and the California Association of Recreation and Park Districts (CARPD). The agreement creating the Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA) provides that members of the COSCA board serve 4 -year terms at the pleasure of their appointing body and until their respective successors are appointed and qualified. Currently, Directors Gibson and Jones serve on this Board, and their respective terms are up in December 2017 and December 2019. As for CARPD, Director Gibson is currently serving as Past President; his Board term expires in May 2018. Since CARPD's selection process requires an election, another CRPD Director could not sit on CARPD's Board without CARPD's concurrence.
