Halt, Vice Chair <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />Ed Jones, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Mana A <br />SUBJECT: Rotary Club of Westlake a Oakheart Country Music Festival 2018 Agreement <br />and Permit Conditions, Conejo Creek Park <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to execute the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Oakheart Country Music <br />Festival (OAKHEART) Agreement for 2018. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The initial OAKHEART event took place in the summer of 2012 and generated little to no complaints <br />from neighbors. <br />However, noise concerns resulting trom the 2013 UAKHF-ART event were raised by residents and <br />corrections and adjustments have been made to provide a better experience for both the patrons and <br />the surrounding neighborhood, resulting in successful events each year from 2014 to 2017. <br />In an effort to balance resident input and OAKHEART requests, staff is presenting the attached <br />agreement. Highlights of the agreement include: <br />2018 OAKHEART event to be conducted Saturday, June 2nd from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. <br />(music off at 10:00 p.m.); additionally, set-up days on Thursday, May 31St and Friday, June 1st <br />and clean-up days of Sunday, June 3rd, and Monday, June 4th, are included. <br />Maximum ticket sales are limited to 7,000, an increase from 6,000 tickets from the previous <br />year. <br />Payment to the District is $2,625 per day or portion thereof for a total of $13,125 for the usage <br />period. <br />Noise levels set at 75 dBA and 90 dBC at property line.
