MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />From: Jim Friedl, General Manager <br />Subject: Thousand Oaks Rotary C-iub'Chili Cook -Off and Craft Brew Festival — 2018 <br />Annual Agreement and Permit Conditions, Conejo Creek Park <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to execute the Thousand Oaks Rotary Club Chili Cook -Off and Craft <br />Brew Festival (CHILI COOK -OFF) Agreement for 2018. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In an effort to balance the potential impact to the significant landscaping and capital improvements <br />to the park site with the overall community benefit of the CHILI COOK -OFF, staff has had a series <br />of meetings with ROTARY representatives to discuss the Annual Agreement and Permit for the 2018 <br />CHILI COOK -OFF. The goal of the meetings was to provide a venue at a reasonable fee while <br />minimizing damage and down time at the site. <br />The Agreement allows for the 2018 CHILI COOK -OFF event to be conducted on Sunday, May 6, <br />2018. <br />This year's event, which will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., will be held at <br />Conejo Creek North Park. Additional parking will be available at Conejo Creek South, Conejo <br />Creek West, and Conejo Creek Northwest. <br />Payment to the District is a total of $4,516 as follows: <br />® $3,045 per day at Conejo Creek North (one day), <br />* $161 per day at Conejo Creek North (Willow Bend - one day) for initial set-up and preparation <br />the day before the event, <br />$785 per day for parking at Conejo Creek South (one day), <br />+ $525 per day for parking at Conejo Creek West and Conejo Creek Northwest (one day). <br />ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES <br />403 West Hillcrest Drive - Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-4223 <br />(805) 495-6471 • FAX: (805) 497-3199 • Email: parks@crpd.org • Website: www,crpd.org <br />
