Ventura County Region
September 20, 2017
Special Qlympics r ll 4
Southern Cdif=id 1
Special Olympics Ventura County extends its most heartfelt congratulations to Conejo
Recreation and Park District and Play Conejo on its new Rotary DreamCatcher Playground.
This new community playground for children with special needs will be a safe and welcoming
place for children and their families to gather, make new friends, and strengthen existing
relationships. What a wonderful place to provide an opportunity for everyone to play together
and realize that there are very few differences between us all.
We at Special Olympics feel the Rotary DreamCatcher Playground exemplifies the Special
Olympics goal of inclusion and its Mission Statement, a portion of which is: To develop physical
fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and
friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Our profound appreciation is also extended to CRPD for its involvement in our Special Olympics
Ventura County sports program, along with the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks who has been a
long-time supporter of Special Olympics Ventura County.
We encourage everyone in the community to take advantage of this unique playground. Once
again, congratulations on a job well done!
Sincerely,
Peggi Preston
Regional Director
Regional Director, Peggi Preston Sports Manager, Tim Rallaret Administrative Assistant, Shae Lopez
Special Olympics Ventura County, 4539 Market Street #F, Ventura, CA 93003
Phone (805) 650-7717 Fax (805) 650-7705 Email. • Ppreston@wsc.org Tballarot@sosc.org Slopez@sosa.org
Created by the Joseph P.
