Holt, Vice Chair <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />Ed Jones, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />DATE: September 14, 2017 <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Jim Fried <br />SUBJECT: Consid atio a Brush Clearance Easement for Lawrence and Cheryl <br />Hawksinson Residing at 172 Mayflower Street <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to enter into a brush clearance easement agreement with Lawrence <br />and Cheryl Hawkinson for access onto to District property to perform annual brush clearance. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In January of 2016, as a condition of residential development, The New Home Company <br />entered into an agreement with the District for the landscape maintenance, fuel modification and <br />development and maintenance of the manufactured slope on District property southeast of <br />Conejo Community Park. Property owners, Lawrence and Cheryl Hawkinson, of 172 Mayflower <br />Street, are now proposing to build a pergola and fire place at the north end of their property, <br />which will extend the area of annual brush clearance not covered under the agreement. The <br />accompanying Brush Clearance Easement will formally grant access onto District property for <br />this purpose. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE <br />Meets 2017 Strategic Plan Element: 4.
